The Director General of RCMRD, Dr. Hussein Farah made a courtesy call on the Kenya Minister for Lands and Urban Development, Hon. Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi in Nairobi on 30th August, 2016. The two discussed cooperation between Kenya and RCMRD, in particular, accelerating land registration, provision of satellite imagery for mapping, and

establishment of GPS reference stations and spatial data infrastructure. The two also discussed the preparations for the RCMRD Council of Ministers Meeting to be held in November in Kigali. The Minister thanked RCMRD for the services it provides to member countries and pledged support of the Government of Kenya to RCMRD as its host. Also present were the Principal Secretary of the Ministry, Ms. Mariamu Elmaawy, the Director of Surveys, Mr. Caesar Mbaria and the Directors of RCMRD Technical and Common Services.
