Tanzania Meteorological Agency Climate Data Rescue Assessment Workshop held in Tanzania

The PREPARED Project, IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) and East Africa Community (EAC) team conducted the final assessment of the Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) climate data rescue (DARE) of 30 years of rainfall and temperature data from 96 stations around Lake Victoria Basin in Tanzania from August 15-18th, 2016. The project will work with TMA to have the station data put into sufficient use. The project implementation will focus on project supervisors, information technology managers, climate data management system technical persons, data managers, data entry clerks, technical consultants, and stakeholders involved in any of the activities.
