RCMRD’s Director of Corporate Services, Mr. Paul Idude, addressed the students with words tailored to their journey: “Believe in yourselves, work hard, and remember — being differently-abled does not limit your dreams. You have the power to achieve greatness.” Similar sentiments were echoed by CBO representatives, who emphasized resilience and hope.
To support the school's mission of providing inclusive and quality education for children with hearing impairments, RCMRD donated food items, stationary, chairs, and desks — resources aimed at enhancing the learning environment and making a tangible impact on students’ daily experiences.
“This activity is not just a donation - it’s a symbol of our partnership with the community,” Gladys-RCMRD. “As we celebrate 50 years of service, we are reminded that true progress includes lifting those around us.”
Located within RCMRD’s surrounding community, Treeside School for the Deaf was a fitting choice for this CSR initiative. RCMRD also announced plans to engage in additional local activities, including recreational and sporting events, as part of its long-term commitment to inclusive development.
As RCMRD@50 approaches in 2025, the Centre continues to embody the values of service, impact, innovation, and inclusivity. While it remains a leader in geospatial development and capacity building, RCMRD’s legacy is equally grounded in the lives it touches beyond the technology — in classrooms, communities, and futures made brighter.
